It is time to finally resolve in our minds and hearts what Moses wrote in Genesis 6 in order for us to fully understand the meaning and the nature of evil in the world. Unless we do so and until we finally remove all wrong or unfounded notions in our minds, we will always treat evil with kid’s gloves or, at the very least, with great fear or respect but without the due diligence and outlook needed to deal with it as it is: a despicable, formidable opponent. For, in general, mainstream churches have dealt with evil and demonic manifestations with equal measures of intellectualism, counseling and praying. And often, the first alone takes more precedence for evil, as presumed, mainly emanates from lack of knowledge or proper doctrinal teaching and not as direct manifestations and deeds of demons working through humans under their control or even possession. Or as Yahusha put it: This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. (Matt. 17:14-21)

The disciples were given power over demons, yet their faith still wavered, as ours also does. How often do believers declare fasting and prayer (self-denial and total dependence on divine intercession) to resolve difficult problems? Usually, conflicts that arise from internal or externally-induced causes among the body of believers (as in the 1^st-century assemblies) caused many members to wage a “fleshly battle” that lead to the falling away of some or to the absence of lasting resolution and to unending squabbles, divisions and even violent wars. (Eph. 6:12) Church history is a long narrative of diverse conflicts worldwide; hence, the presence of thousands of denominations that separately claim allegiance to the pure, simple Gospel of Yahusha. (James 4:1)

No one can undo this great turn of the religious tide that has rigidified for centuries into the numerous divisions which evil alone could have spawned early in human history. (2 Cor. 4:1-6) Gen. 6 lies at the very root of this existing departure from the pattern laid in Creation by Yah. Let us take another look:

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”  There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. (Gen. 6:1-4)

The “men” (ha’adam) who multiplied on the Earth had daughters whom the “sons of God” (bene-ha’elohim) took as wives. Luke 3:23, 38 refers to Adam as the “son of God” (huios tou Theou). If Adam was (created as he was by Yah, his and our Father), the “men” who multiplied on the Earth were then also “sons of God” like him, were they not? So, does that mean that they were also those “sons of God” who took their own daughters as their wives, or were they, in fact, angelic beings or “sons of God” (created as they were by Yah)?

Most believers easily explain this issue away as 2 types of “sons of men”, the good and evil, which is half-true. Yet in the next verses, a mystery unfolds because Moses wrote that as a result of that union, the Nephilim (hannepilim) or “giants” were born. (There were indeed ancients giants, as the 12 spies confirmed to Moses in Num. 13:31-33, that made some of them feel like mere grasshoppers.*) Who had the giant genes then, the good or the bad “sons”? No one can or will answer because Moses was silent. And yet, the presence of those “mighty men” brought about the increase of so much evil such that Yah decided to destroy all flesh by sending the Great Flood and saving Noah’s family through the Ark. (Gen. 6:8-22)

How do we account for the evil then based on this sparse narrative of Moses? We cannot. How do we describe such evil without knowing the specific deeds or offenses that led Yah to be so “repentant” that He made humans on the Earth? We cannot. But Enoch can.

In Enoch 6:1-7, Enoch answers those questions with enough details, leaving no doubts in our mind. But Verses 1 and 2 will suffice for us:

“In those days, when the children of man had multiplied, it happened that there were born unto them handsome and beautiful daughters. And the angels, the children of heaven, saw them and desired them; and they said to one another, “Come, let us choose wives for ourselves from among the daughters of man and beget us children.”

Voila, what Moses called “sons of God” were indeed “angels”! That should explain the giants, the global increase of evil, Yah’s extreme wrath, the Flood and the Ark. But all that information has been neglected or rejected because Enoch’s work has been hidden and discredited. By whom? Yah? Or Satan? Those who work for Yah? Or those who work for Satan?

Why would Yah not give us the knowledge of the real history and destiny of Creation, aside from what Moses wrote? And why would He not give that work to one who was a direct descendant of Adam (Enoch was 10 generations from Adam who lived to tell Enoch of Eden and the events of the Creation) and to one who knew that a Great Flood was coming and was also involved in Noah’s preparation of the Ark? All this Yah did perform and prepare through Enoch for our sake. For Enoch wrote for a clear specific purpose:  

The blessing of Enoch: with which he blessed the elect and the righteous who would be present on the day of tribulation at the time of the removal of all the wicked ones.

 “This is a holy vision from the heavens which the angels showed me: and I heard from them everything and I understood. I look not for this generation but for the distant one that is coming. I speak about the elect ones and concerning them.” (Enoch 1:1, 2)

If Enoch wrote for our sake and we do not make use of his wisdom and knowledge, how shall we wage a victorious spiritual warfare against wicked spirits? And so, for 2 millennia, in fact, over 90% of believers have been kept totally in the dark about Enoch’s book and about wicked spirits now at work in “heavenly places” because Satan had caused a great deception worldwide that Yah has allowed but He is about to dispel in the final days. (2 Thess. 2:1-12; Matt. 24:9-14)

The complete corruption of humans occurred through what we can accurately refer to as “genetic tinkering” of Yah’s Creation, as we now see. Human genes were used by wicked spirits to produce “wicked giants” who did despicable deeds Enoch described in great details. If Yah Himself felt so aggrieved, why should it not also affect us to a point that we search and find the real reasons for the Flood? As it is, many have simply rationalized the issue away as a literary or archeological fluke that inconveniences their doctrinal stance. All that because the very same wicked spirits that brought about the sins of the Nephilim were responsible for hiding Enoch’s book and the dark, secret arts those children of the fallen angels taught humans which they have spread all over the face of the Earth from ancient times up to the present.

Most importantly, we will see that the present events will come into place within Enoch’s (as well as John’s) prophecies of the last days. Are we not thankful that he wrote a complete story about those things? For Enoch did write them for us. It is time we listened closely. For we all have a really serious decision to make.

*Records of archeological and anthropological evidence of giants reinforce the biblical claim of giants during ancient times. Among these are the Greek myths that contain stories of the 6 Titans who were the giant sons of the god Uranus (Sky) and goddess Gaia (Earth), which seems to parallel the account of Enoch and Moses. Also, there were cannibalistic giants called the Leistrygones and Cyclops and numerous folk lore in many countries that speak of horrible and even heroic giants.

Enoch placed the height of the Nephilim at 300 cubits or about 137 meters (450 feet). If a grasshopper is about an inch high (2.54 cm), a 6-foot (1.83-meter) tall person will be 72 times taller than a grasshopper. So, the giants in Canaan were 72 times taller than a 6-foot tall Israelite, that is, 432 feet tall!  Those spies were not exaggerating their report and were obviously quite terrified by those giants. But Caleb and Joshua were not for they trusted in Yah’s might, as we all should.
